Zinave National Park

Zinave National Park also plays a crucial role in Mozambique’s post-war recovery. As part of the Great Limpopo Transfrontier Conservation Area, Zinave has benefited from wildlife translocations, with over 500 animals being introduced from South Africa since 2018.

These reintroductions are helping to restore the park’s biodiversity and making Zinave an emerging destination for ecotourism. The park’s revival, like others in Mozambique, is heavily reliant on anti-poaching initiatives, which are bolstered by technology like drones and ranger patrols to protect the newly restored wildlife.
